Why can’t I delete my tenant row on the worksheet?
If you are unable to delete a tenant row on the worksheet in SimplifyEm Property Management Software, it may be because the tenant is currently enabled for Online Rent Payment. When a tenant has online payments set up, the system restricts you from deleting their information to ensure that no active payment processes are interrupted. In order to delete the tenant from the worksheet, you first need to cancel their online rent payment setup. Once this is done, the system will allow you to remove the tenant.
To cancel the online rent payment for a tenant, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Tenants > Tenant Center.
- Find the tenant whose payments you want to cancel, and click on Take Actions next to their name.
- From the dropdown, select Cancel Online Rent Payment.
- Confirm the action by clicking OK on the popup screen.
After the online rent payment has been successfully canceled, the tenant will no longer have access to make payments online, and you will be free to delete their row from the worksheet by following the below steps:
- Navigate to Tenants > Tenant Center.
- Find the tenant whose payments you want to cancel, and click on Take Actions next to their name.
- Click on Delete Tenant.
- Click on OK to confirm the deletion.
