FAQ > Online Rent Payments
What happens if I decide to cancel Online Rent Payment for my tenant? Will I lose the recorded rent amounts? How will I know the money transfer discontinued?
If you cancel the online rent payment for a tenant, SimplifyEm Property Management Software will retain all previously recorded rent transactions collected through online payments, so you won’t lose any payment history. Both the landlord and tenant will receive notifications that online rent payments have been canceled. The tenant will still have read-only access to their account, but they will no longer be able to make payments online.
To cancel the online rent payment for a tenant, follow these steps:
- Go to Tenants > Tenant Center.
- Click on Take Actions next to the tenant’s name, then select Cancel Online Rent Payment.
- Confirm the cancellation by clicking OK on the popup screen.
If you need to re-enable online rent payments for the tenant, you will need to set it up again. For more information, refer to the guide: “How do I set up Online Rent Payment for my tenant?”
