FAQ > Generating Reports
Will the tenant payment report reflect all the rent collected from the beginning of the lease?
The Tenant Payment Report in SimplifyEm.com Property Management Software shows only the rent payments that have been recorded within the system. If there are outstanding rent amounts from previous periods that were not recorded in the software for a particular lease, you have the option to manually add those amounts directly to the report. This ensures that the report reflects the full amount owed by the tenant, even if some payments were not originally logged in SimplifyEm.com.
Importantly, when you add these prior rent amounts to the report, they are recorded for reporting purposes only. This means that these adjustments will appear in the Tenant Payment Report but will not alter or affect any existing transactions within the worksheet or the rest of the system. It is a convenient way to ensure accuracy in your reports without disrupting other financial records or calculations that have already been made in the software.
This feature helps property managers maintain clear and comprehensive tenant payment histories, ensuring that any past discrepancies or unrecorded rents are accounted for in their reports.
