GOLD CROWN PROPERTIES, INC., AMO was founded by Tom Smith in 1976 with the goal of establishing a multifamily management company that would offer quality professional property management services for apartment properties. In just six years, Gold Crown became the fourth largest multifamily management company in the United States, with management of almost 20,000 units in twenty two states and thirty five cities. He brought his brother Ted on board in 1978, and along with two other partners the group experienced the fastest growth of any multifamily management company in the United States. Now, 26 years later, Tom and Ted have reunited to take Gold Crown back to the basics, and along with Tom’s son Bryan and Ted’s wife, Andrea, they have committed themselves to a goal of building the best multifamily management company in the business.
