The Wiley Brooks Company, Inc. predominant orientation is the sales, leasing and management of commercial real estate. The company office is conveniently located in mid-town Anchorage. Founder Wiley Brooks received his degree in Business Management from Mississippi State University. After college, he became a career officer in the USAF and advanced to the grade of Lieutenant Colonel before retirement to enter business in 1977. He became a licensed real estate agent specializing in property management in 1978 and established his firm in 1982. Mr. Brooks is a member and past president of the Alaska Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and received the Certified Property Manager of the Year Award in 1986. Mr. Brooks has extensive experience in Property Management, Asset Management and Investment Consulting services. In recent years, family members have joined the firm to maintain a tradition of providing quality services to clients. Daughter Laura Cantrell, CPM®, after gaining 20 years of real estate sales and management experience in Washington State and Alaska, rejoined the family business in 1999. Laura watches over day-to-day management of client assets. Son J. Jay Brooks is a licensed associate broker, provides real estate mortgage banking and investment consulting services.
