What happens if my tenant cancels Online Rent Payment?
If your tenant cancels Online Rent Payment, SimplifyEm Property Management Software will notify both you and the tenant that online rent payments have been discontinued. Once the cancellation is confirmed, the tenant will no longer be able to make online payments but will still have read-only access to their account. This allows the tenant to view their payment history and account details, but they won’t be able to process any new payments through the system.
As the landlord, you will be informed of the cancellation to ensure you’re aware of any changes in the tenant’s payment method. This notification allows you to manage rent payments manually or discuss alternative arrangements with your tenant if needed.
If you wish to re-enable Online Rent Payment for the tenant, you will need to go through the setup process again. See detail on “How do I setup Online Rent Payment for my tenant?”
